Our Mission

We share Middle Eastern art with the world.

We are a sister and brother with Franco-Swiss roots, united by a deep connection to both the Middle East and our heritage abroad. Having spent many of our formative years in the region while remaining closely tied to where we come from, we saw an opportunity to build a bridge between the worlds that shaped us.

That idea became Nefer — a name derived from Ancient Egyptian, meaning "beautiful," "good," or "perfect." You may know it best from Queen Nefertiti, whose very name carries that same meaning — a testament to the enduring beauty and legacy of the ancient world.

Our goal is simple: to bring greater visibility to artists from the Middle East and introduce their work to a wider audience of art collectors around the world.

We work directly with the artists themselves, carefully selecting pieces that reflect the creativity, culture, and stories behind their work. By sourcing directly from the artists, we aim to support their growth while ensuring authenticity and fair recognition for their talent.

Art has always been part of our lives. Our mother is an artist and remains actively involved in the art community, while our father has long shared his passion for discovering and appreciating art. Growing up surrounded by creativity and artistic dialogue helped shape the vision behind Nefer.

Nefer is entirely family-owned and operated, and this personal approach guides everything we do. Every painting we share is chosen with care, and every collaboration is built on genuine relationships with the artists we work with.

For us, this project is more than just an online gallery — it is a way to celebrate the artistic voices of a region that has deeply influenced our lives, while creating meaningful cultural connections across the globe.
